More than 80 years ago, the first wristwatches with a chronograph function were developed in Glashütte, setting new technical standards at the time. With the Senator Chronograph Navigator, Glashütte Original continues this tradition: as pioneering as its historic predecessors, yet tailored to today’s needs. Its stainless steel case measures 41 mm in diameter and features a sapphire crystal caseback, offering a view of the exquisitely finished automatic calibre inside. The Senator Chronograph Navigator draws direct inspiration from the pilot’s watches of the 1940s. As with its predecessors, particular attention has been paid to a functional design and intuitive operation. A black Louisiana alligator leather strap, a sand-coloured synthetic strap or a stainless steel bracelet ensure a perfect fit on the wrist; thanks to quick-change lugs, these can be attached to the case without the need for tools. The double folding clasp also features a quick-change system, making it easy to swap between different straps. On the Senator Chronograph Navigator, the handcrafted dial is finished in matt black and features Arabic numerals made from solid luminescent material. The hour and minute hands
